The Shanghai-London stock connect will be officially launched in London on December 14, media reported on Tuesday.
Shanghai Stock Exchange authorities will participate in the opening ceremony and unveil about 10 Chinese and British enterprises that are qualified to be listed in both Shanghai and London, said Chinese media Yicai.
Once completed, stocks listed in Shanghai and London can be traded in each other's market by issuing depository receipts.
China has made active preparations for launching the program since this year. In October, China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) issued trial rules on the depository receipt business after seeking public comments in late August.
