(ECNS) -- The year of 2025 marks the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Over the past century, the CPC has guided the Chinese people with unwavering determination and persistent efforts, achieving remarkable accomplishments.
In the latest China Q&A, Brazilian scholar Pedro Steenhagen wonders how the CPC has been able to keep its vigor and vitality for such a long time and dedicated to serving the people wholeheartedly.
In response, Lin Kaicheng, associate professor at the School of Marxism, Jinan University, provided a detailed analysis.
"From my perspective, after one hundred years, the CPC stays dynamic because it's learned to adapt, self-correct and stay grounded." Lin said.
He pointed out that the CPC has always kept its thinking fresh."It dynamically synthesizes Marxism principle with China's civilizational wisdom, contemporary needs and the journey from revolution to reform to national rejuvenation."
"This pragmatism enables us to navigate challenges like fighting poverty,driving technological transformation, fulfilling people's senses of happiness, achievement, and security while maintaining strategic stability." He further explained.
Second, the CPC has been able to "cleans its house regularly". In Lin's view, unlike typical political structures, the CPC institutionalizes cause correction, with mechanism for intra-party democracy, performance base and official selection, and rigorous anti-corruption systems.
Lin highlighted the third and most important is people come first. He mentioned that China has lifted about 800 million people out of poverty,and created the world's largest education and health care systems.
In the meantime, Lin noted that China has been deepening market reforms, protecting private entrepreneurs, equal status, expanding high standard opening and ensuring fair competition.
"When a party constantly improves citizens' lives across generations, it earns organic support," Lin emphasized.
