(ECNS) -- China has successfully secured the extradition of Zhou Jinghua from Thailand, marking a milestone in its international anti-corruption campaign.
Zhou, listed as No. 26 among China's "100 Most-Wanted Fugitives on Red Notice," is the 63rd individual on the list to face justice in China since the launch of Operation Sky Net.
A former deputy general manager at Yunnan Copper (Thailand) Investment and Development Co., Zhou is accused of embezzlement and fled overseas to avoid prosecution. Despite years of evasion, she was placed under an Interpol Red Notice in 2012 and has now been extradited through close law enforcement and judicial cooperation between China and Thailand.
Authorities say Zhou's return signifies a key breakthrough — the complete clearance of all Red Notice fugitives in the Asia-Pacific region. "We will never stop as long as there is still one person on the run," a spokesperson emphasized.
