(ECNS) -- The Chinese Embassy in Ukraine issued a statement on Tuesday, advising Chinese citizens to refrain from traveling to Ukraine for the time being, considering the country's current security situation.
The Verkhovna Rada approved the extension of martial law and the general mobilization for another 90 days on the same day, which will continue from August 7 to November 5.
The statement said that those who voluntarily remain in the country are urged to heighten their safety awareness, closely follow local security alerts, and be fully prepared for emergency evacuation if necessary.
In the event of air raid sirens, citizens must immediately seek shelter in designated areas and avoid complacency, the statement said. It also reminded Chinese nationals to strictly abide by Ukrainian laws and regulations. They are advised not to take pictures of sensitive military sites or spread related information online.
