(ECNS) -- In exclusive interviews with China News Network following the conclusion of 2025 “two sessions” in Beijing, multiple ambassadors to China highlighted the country’s steady economic growth, technological advancements, and deepening international cooperation, emphasizing that these developments bolster confidence and provide opportunities for global progress.

Pakistani Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi said the two sessions are one of China’s most significant political events of the year, setting the tone for the country’s economic and social development while providing the international community with a crucial lens to observe China’s trajectory. The ambassador believes that as the world’s second-largest economy, China’s policies and strategies exert profound global influence.

Highlighting Chinese approach to modernization, Hashmi pointed to its sustained investments in education, science, and innovation. “By doing so, China creates possibilities and options to develop new technologies. I think there are many lessons for developing countries and Global South,” he said.

Maltese Ambassador to China John Busuttil pointed out that China's GDP growth target of around 5% for 2025, announced in the 2025 government work report, is good news to the global economy.

“The more the Chinese economy grows, the better it is for everyone, because the global economy will grow as well,” he said.

He underscored China’s rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and electric vehicles, expressing particular interest in breakthroughs such as DeepSeek. China’s emphasis on modern industries and new quality productive forces in this year’s government work report, he noted, signals enormous potential for the future.

Georgian Ambassador to China, Paata Kalandadze, said the Chinese government work report will have impacts both on the daily life of the Chinese people and the country's position in international affairs.

"China is a very important player on the international scene. We appreciate it. We hope that China will continue the way determined, which is to maintain the sovereignty of every country and to keep peace internationally," Kalandadze added.

Tunisian Ambassador to China Adel Elarbi said that the two sessions are “an important platform for exchanging evaluation and making provisions for the future. ”

Observing that more than 3,000 domestic and foreign journalists covered the event, Elarbi believes China’s global influence is a key reason why it has attracted worldwide attention.

He highly praised China’s efforts in opening up its market, deepening cultural exchanges, and promoting a green economy, noting that China’s development experience is crucial for global progress.

Jordanian Ambassador to China, Hussam Al Husseini, who has attended “two sessions” for six years, spoke highly of China’s democratic process and policy making.

He noted that although reform and opening-up have consistently been major themes in China's policy agenda, the focus was "becoming stronger and more visible” this year.

The ambassador also praised China’s policy of opening up, stating that there are a lot areas for interaction between China and the world. China has a lot to contribute to global civilization, global security, global economy, and global peace. More openness from China will pave the way for enhanced cooperation, a deeper understanding of China’s system and characteristics, and a clearer recognition of China’s contributions to humanity, he said.

As China continues its path of high-quality development, the insights shared by the ambassadors underscored the global recognition of its economic resilience, innovation-driven growth, and commitment to international collaboration.

They believe that China’s focus on modernization, openness, and sustainable progress will create new opportunities for global partnerships.
