China's Gu Ailing wins silver in women's freestyle skiing slopestyle at Beijing 2022

(ECNS) -- China's Gu Ailing won the silver in the women's freestyle skiing slopestyle of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games at Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou of China's Hebei Province on Tuesday.

This is China's first medal in women's freestyle skiing slopestyle and Gu's second Olympic medal at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

Gu got a combined score of 156.13 points - 69.9 from her first run and 86.23 from the third - after failing to finish the run in her second.

Mathilde Gremaud from Switzerland bagged the gold while Kelly Sildaru from Estonia won the bronze.

Gu has one more event to attempt to earn a second gold medal. Qualifications for her final event, the women's halfpipe, are scheduled for Thursday.
