(ECNS) --A fast rechargeable battery developed by LDGROUP made its debut in Shanghai on Friday.

An eight-minute charge can make the battery last 400 kilometers, which will be further shortened to five minutes by 2025, according to LDGROUP.

The cells of the batteries use a high nickel content, making them very safe.

What makes the battery outstanding is the company's full stack battery cell technology.

Fast ionic conductors and interface stabilizers are used to coat the positive electrodes of the battery. The nickel content is as high as 88 percent, which greatly improves the energy density and ionic conductivity, and stabilizes the solid-liquid interface at the same time, according to Liu Guanwei, chief strategy officer of LDGROUP.

In addition, nano-silicon particles are used to control the negative electrodes and the silicon content can reach 10 percent, greatly improving the lithium ion reaction.
