Kuwait reported four new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 104.

Abdullah Al-Sanad, the health ministry's spokesman, said that one case is an Indian national who was in contact with a person from Azerbaijan.

The other three are Kuwaitis. Two of them were in the United Kingdom, and the other was in both Qatar and France, he said.

Currently there are six patients in the ICU. Two are in a critical condition and the rest are stable, he noted.

In addition, Kuwaiti Minister of Health Bassel Al-Sabah announced Saturday that two coronavirus patients recovered, bringing the total number of those who overcame the disease to seven.

Kuwait decided on Wednesday to suspend all commercial flights to curb the spread of COVID-19. The measure took effect on Friday.

Li Minggang, Chinese ambassador to Kuwait, said on Tuesday that Kuwaiti health officials had expressed willingness to send medical teams to learn from China's experience in fighting the pandemic after it ends.
