Jiang Lei, one of China's most wanted fugitives, turned himself in to police on Friday, according to the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and National Supervisory Commission.

Jiang, who fled to New Zealand in April 2007, is accused of corruption and was issued a "Red Notice" by Interpol in July the same year.

He is former administrative deputy chairman of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers as well as former chairman of the automobile unit at the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
