China is willing to work with Singapore to achieve new progress in China-ASEAN ties, Premier Li Keqiang said when meeting with Singaporean President Halimah Yacob on Wednesday.

China appreciates Singapore's active role in promote China-ASEAN relations as the coordinator and during its rotating presidency of ASEAN, he said.

Halimah said more than 10 agreements were signed during Li's visit, including the protocol of upgrading the free trade agreement, which bring bilateral ties to a new level. Both countries should explore new areas for further cooperation, such as tourism and culture, she said. Singapore is willing to work with China to promote deeper ties between ASEAN and China, she added.
