Cheng Changying is one grandma who is not afraid to get her groove on.

The 70-year-old from Chengdu, Sichuan Province has become an overnight celebrity due to a video of her dancing passionately to the pop song "Nobody."

"It's so impressive that she can be so energetic at such an age," said a bystander.

Cheng said that when the music starts she feels like a 20-year-old girl all over again.

"She has always been like this, always vivacious, outgoing and crazy about singing and dancing," said Luo Mingde, Cheng's husband.

Cheng sang constantly during college, according to her husband. Sometimes her voice would carry to the other end of the school building.

In the 1980s Cheng was a fashionable woman who embraced disco and even break dancing. But a full-time job eventually put an end to that.

Cheng gave up dancing for many years. However, when she ran into a group of people dancing in a park in 2008, her passion was suddenly rekindled.

"It felt so good," recalled Cheng. "When the music started, I became energetic and jumped right back into it. I was so devoted, I felt like I was still 20 years old."

Since then, Cheng has been regularly seen "cutting a rug" at the park.

The young-hearted granny soon won her husband's support, since dancing has helped strengthen her body and drive away illness.

When Cheng's dancing video was posted online in May, she rose to fame almost overnight and was later invited by "China's Got Talent," a popular TV program equivalent to American Idol.

Sometimes when she is out on the street her fans ask to take photos with her.

"I am just a granny who loves dancing. I will dance for at least another 20 years," said Cheng.
