Ghana plans to formally apply for BRICS membership

(ECNS) -- Ghanaian Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said Tuesday the country will formally apply for BRICS membership.

Ablakwa added that the move would give Ghana more economic options, diversify its international partnerships and deepen cooperation with countries in the Global South.
