(ECNS) -- A full-power-shift high-horsepower tractor and a large grain combine harvester developed by China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corporation Limited (CRCHI) have gone into mass production in Urumqi in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The two machines, both manufactured in Xinjiang, are designed for large-scale farming operations and are capable of competing with international high-end products, according to company officials.
Developed for the challenging conditions of northwest China, the tractor features an in-house power-shift transmission, a 46% torque reserve and a maximum steering angle of 50 degrees.
The combine harvester is suitable for harvesting wheat, corn, soybeans and rice, and is equipped with a self-developed threshing and separation system designed to minimize grain damage while improving efficiency.
The tractor has already completed field tests in Tacheng, where local farmers praised its maneuverability and power. Many smart agricultural machinery products have replaced imported equipment and are being exported to markets including Central Asia and South America.
