(ECNS) -- Beijing region posted goods trade of 2.12 trillion yuan ($293.6 billion) in the first seven months of 2026, up 16.3% yearonyear, Beijing Customs said Thursday.
Exports climbed 5.1% to 370.43 billion yuan, a record for the period, while imports rose 19% to 1.75 trillion yuan. Private firms saw trade surge 43.5% to 343.63 billion yuan, while stateowned enterprises accounted for nearly 70% of the total.
Switzerland, the EU, Brazil, Australia and ASEAN were top partners, with combined trade making up 41.2% of Beijing’s total. Belt and Road trade reached 1.08 trillion yuan, or 51.1% of the overall.
