(ECNS) -- A test flight for eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) low-altitude sightseeing tourism project was successfully completed at Shenyang City in northeast China's Liaoning Province on Monday.
This flight aimed to offer tourists a new perspective to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Hunhe River, elevating their travel experience.
Notably, the project is driving growth in related industries such as eVTOL leasing, maintenance, and flight services. The event also saw the debut of northeast China's first-ever shared drone cabinet, enabling 24/7 unmanned self-service rentals.
An industry expert stated that rising demand for low-altitude aircraft will foster coordinated supply chain development, forming a strong industrial cluster to power regional growth.
Earlier this year, Shenyang launched a dedicated task force for the low-altitude economy and issued a 2025 development action plan. The plan includes 86 takeoff and landing points and six hub stations, laying a solid foundation for future low-altitude economic development.
