Average annual salary of employees in Chinese enterprises above designated size surpasses 9,000 yuan

(ECNS) -- The average annual salary of employees in Chinese enterprises above designated size in 2022 hit 92,492 yuan (about $13,365), a nominal increase of 5.0 percent over the previous year, the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS) announced Tuesday.

According to the data released by the NBS, middle-level managers and above earned 189,076 yuan, an increase of 4.7 percent; professional and technical personnel 133,264 yuan, an increase of 6.6 percent; the staff and related personnel 85,881 yuan, an increase of 4.1 percent; social production service and living service personnel 70,234 yuan, an increase of 3.3percent; and manufacturing and related personnel 71,147 yuan, an increase of 3.9 percent.

Enterprises above the designated size include all state-owned businesses and industrial enterprises with annual incomes of 20 million yuan and commercial enterprises with sales exceeding 1.8 million yuan for three consecutive years.
