Bernardo Mendia, Secretary General of the Portugal–China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC), said China’s long-term Five-Year Plans and political stability provide clear and predictable expectations for both domestic and foreign businesses. He noted that China will continue opening up and prioritizing innovation, particularly in science and new energy. As China shifts toward greater reliance on domestic consumption, which still has significant growth potential, new opportunities are emerging for both the Chinese economy and foreign companies.
