First net of fish auctioned $78,000,000 in N China

A net of fresh fish adorned with red ribbons was escorted to the auction table on Saturday, the climax of the winter fishing activity at Dali Lake in Chifeng City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.　

The first full net symbolizes good luck and a prosperous harvest, making it a prized item among merchants and tourists.

After fierce bidding competition, the catch was finally auctioned for 560,000 yuan ($78,234.14).
