Cicada sloughing recorded by photographer

(ECNS) -- Precious moments of cicada sloughing were filmed by a photographer in Nanchong, Sichuan Province on Sunday.

Cicada sloughing is biological process during which the insect leaves its shell and flies away.

"I've been waiting for this moment for so long. It's a rebirth when a cicada sheds its shell," said the photographer Jiang Xiaolong.
