Wang Shouwen, vice-minister of commerce, met with the chief executive of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Suzanne Clark on Tuesday in Beijing, where Clark is leading a delegation to visit Beijing this week.
The two sides exchanged views on issues, such as China-U.S. economic and trade relations and the development of U.S. enterprises in China, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.
Wang said China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation is a stabilizing force in strengthening bilateral relations. China would like to jointly implement stable and healthy development of economic and trade relations with the U.S..
China will firmly promote high-level opening up to the world. It hopes that the member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce will continue to invest in the China market and achieve a win-win development with China, Wang said.
