Indian sinologist Vikash Kumar Singh says Indians  used to learn about Chinese culture mainly through kung fu films and cuisine. Today, a growing number of young Indians turn to translated Chinese literary works to gain a deeper understanding of China.

Ancient Chinese classics including The Analects, Tao Te Ching, The Great Learning and Mencius are drawing rising interest among Indian youth, he said. (Video editor: Zhang Dongfang)
