Central Chinese city accelerates development of modern service industry cluster
(ECNS) -- Xianning City in central China's Hubei Province plans to develop a 10-billion-yuan ($1.49 billion) modern service industry cluster in its Xian’an District by 2030, according to local authorities.
Construction of the provincial-level modern service industry demonstration zone began in 2009. The zone has a planned area of 4.8 square kilometers.
After years of development, five specialized markets covering hardware, small commodities, agricultural produce, home building materials and tea have opened, attracting more than 1,400 merchants.
“Total investment in the zone’s five logistics parks will exceed 2 billion yuan over the 2026-2027 period,” said Li Tianming, Party secretary and director of the Xian’an Commercial and Logistics Zone Administrative Committee.
