(ECNS) -- The Xinfu 145, the world’s largest dual-fuel container ship, departed Taizhou Port in Jiangsu Province on Tuesday under tug assistance for outfitting work.

The vessel measures 399.9 meters long, 61.3 meters wide and 33.5 meters deep, with an 18,600-cubic-meter membrane-type fuel tank enabling a 20,000-nautical-mile range on a single LNG bunkering. Taizhou Maritime Bureau said its total length exceeds 740 meters.

Jiangsu remains China’s top shipbuilding province. Since January, Taizhou has escorted 37 newly built megavessels over 205 meters for sea trials, totaling 4.79 million tons in deadweight. Of these, 23 exceeded 270 meters, a 43% year-on-year increase.
