Guterres welcomed the agreement and urged all parties to seize the opportunity for a “credible political path forward” toward ending the occupation and achieving a two-State solution for Israel and Palestine.
He said the UN and its partners were ready to “move now,” with teams and supplies already in place to scale up food, water, medical and shelter assistance inside Gaza.
