Panda cub Shu Bao to make public debut at South Korea's Everland theme park

(ECNS) -- Shu Bao, the youngest member of Everland's giant panda family, will make her public debut on Friday at the theme park's Panda World in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, the park said on Wednesday.

The female cub was born on June 3 to giant pandas Le Bao and Ai Bao, which are on loan from China. She is the fourth cub born to the pair, following Fu Bao in 2020 and twins Rui Bao and Hui Bao in 2023. She weighed just 171 grams at birth and now weighs more than 9 kg, according to Everland.

Meanwhile, Rui Bao and Hui Bao will begin a month-long quarantine on Nov. 13 ahead of their planned return to China. Their final day on public display at Everland is scheduled for Dec. 11.
