(ECNS) -- The first batch of exhibits for the ninth China International Import Expo arrived at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai Monday, as setup for the event enters its final stretch.
Twelve exhibits from countries including Austria, the United States and Germany began arriving at the venue. The expo is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from Nov. 5 to 10.
Among the exhibits is a machine tool from Austrian company WFL, making its debut at the expo and its first appearance in Asia. The machine combines multiple processes, including turning, milling, drilling and grinding, allowing a workpiece to undergo several machining operations on a single machine. This reduces repeated clamping and transfers while improving efficiency, machining consistency and automation.
The agricultural and food products exhibition area will also feature specialty fruits, including bananas from Peru and white jade pearl durians from Malaysia.
