(ECNS) -- More than 3,200 students from 11 countries gathered Wednesday at Yinchuan College of Science and Technology in northwestern China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region for the opening of the 2026 International University Wine Art Carnival.
The event, centered on wine culture and youth artistic innovation, is intended to promote exchanges between Chinese and foreign young people and showcase Ningxia’s local customs.
The gala mixed Chinese and Western performances, including northwestern folk songs, a crossover instrumental piece, recitals and medleys.
Skits with an ecological theme and original dances blended scenes of Helan Mountain, winemaking and stories of young people.
The event also included interactive games, wish collection and raffles, and well-known artists performed live.
Organizers presented plaques to more than 10 partner organizations in recognition of their work supporting youth development and promoting wine culture.
