(ECNS) -- The first batch of exhibits for the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) arrived in Shanghai on Monday under the supervision of Shanghai Customs.
The exhibits were supplied by Austrian company WFL Millturn Technologies, a leading global manufacturer of high-end multifunctional machine tools. The company is participating in the CIIE for the first time this year.
The exhibits included a mill-turn machining center, which is set to make its Asian debut. The equipment reflects the latest global trends in high-end mill-turn machine tools and advanced manufacturing technologies, serving as a showcase for industry innovation and technological progress.
More exhibits are expected to arrive in Shanghai in the coming days, including tires from France, coffee from Australia and ice cream from Kazakhstan.
To facilitate customs clearance, Shanghai Customs has opened 123 dedicated service counters and designated channels across 26 subordinate customs offices.
