(ECNS) -- The 37th World Canals Conference will be held in Guilin, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from Oct. 12 to 15.
The event will feature opening and closing ceremonies, plenary sessions and four parallel expert seminars. Participants will also take part in study tours focusing on the Pinglu Canal, the Lingqu Canal and the Lijiang River, alongside themed exhibitions.
As a major international industry conference, the World Canals Conference is held annually, rotating among Europe, Asia and the Americas. The event has been held 36 times to date, and this will mark its third edition in China.
The 37th conference was jointly organized by the Guilin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Guilin municipal government, the Guangxi Department of Transport, and Inland Waterways International.
