Chinese actress Wan Qianhui says camera, footage stolen during Paris shoot

(ECNS)-- Chinese actress Wan Qianhui said her camera was stolen while she was working in Paris, along with footage from an entire day of filming.

Wan shared details of the theft on social media, stating the equipment was taken in approximately 30 seconds. She added that she was still processing the incident, noting she had never experienced anything similar during her 33 years living in China.

Born in 1993 in Huai'an, Jiangsu province, Wan studied musical theater at the Central Academy of Drama and has performed in multiple stage productions. She is married to composer San Bao and is a cast member on the 2026 reality television series "Ride the Wind 2026".

The incident comes as the Chinese Embassy in France has issued a travel advisory ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, urging Chinese visitors to take extra precautions against theft in crowded places.

The embassy advised travelers to keep their belongings within sight and under control, carry backpacks in front of them in crowded areas and avoid leaving valuables unattended in vehicles. It also urged those facing emergencies to contact local police and Chinese diplomatic missions for assistance.
