(ECNS) -- Two Chinese community groups in Brazil launched a fundraising appeal on Monday to support flood relief in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region after Typhoon Maysak and its remnants caused severe flooding across the region.
The initiative was organized by an association representing people from southwest China and a group of Chinese military veterans living in Brazil.
The organizers said the campaign aims to mobilize support from the local Chinese community for residents affected by the floods.
Donations will be transferred to the Guangxi Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation, which is affiliated with the Guangxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.
