Death toll in Hong Kong residential building fire rises to 146

(ECNS) -- The death toll at Hong Fu Court in the Tai Po area of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has risen to 146, local authorities announced on Sunday.

Seventy-nine people have been reported injured, including 12 firefighters, according to previous report.

The status of 150 individuals remains unclear.

Local police said they do not rule out the possibility of the death toll continuing to rise.
