(ECNS) -- The 2025 RoboMaster National Championship, part of China's 24th University Robot Competition, concluded Sunday in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, showcasing cutting-edge robotics and fierce competition among university teams from across China.
Team Jiaolong from Shanghai Jiao Tong University claimed the national championship title, with Team RoboWalker from the University of Science and Technology of China and the South China Tiger Team from South China University of Technology taking second and third place, respectively.

A key highlight of this year's competition was the technological advancement across various types of robots, featuring an upgraded playing field with challenges including secondary steps and narrow tunnels. This encouraged teams to develop wheeled-leg balanced chassis and advanced motion control algorithms.
The champion's infantry robot is equipped with an edge computing module that uses neural networks to identify enemy armor plates, simultaneously performing motion prediction and ballistic calculation to support precise long-range dynamic target strikes. This technology not only improves combat performance but also advances the application of cutting-edge visual algorithms like deep learning in complex dynamic environments.
Over a 365-day preparation cycle, participants engaged in a full-spectrum engineering experience, transforming classroom theory into real-world application.
Acting as both engineers and entrepreneurs, they carried out requirements analysis, solution design, prototyping, debugging, and iterative optimization. They also led multidisciplinary teams spanning mechanics, electronics, algorithms, and computer vision, tackling complex, cross-domain collaboration challenges.
