(ECNS) -- Hull art for China's 2nd homegrown large cruise ship, Adora Flora City, was unveiled in Shanghai on Tuesday.
With the theme "Maritime Silk Road", the design of the hull art is inspired by the Dunhuang frescoes, showcasing the charm of Chinese culture. The hull decoration features the color ribbons of the Flying Apsaras and celestial maidens scattering flowers from Dunhuang murals as core elements.
At present, the ship has completed main hull assembly and begun the prefabricated cabin installation and outfitting.
With 2,130 cabins accommodating 5,232 guests at full capacity, Adora Flora City offers more suites and a double-sized atrium, and larger social spaces to enhance the onboard experience.
As China's flagship cruise brand, Adora Cruises remains committed to integrating culture and tourism. By deeply incorporating elements of traditional Chinese culture and the "Maritime Silk Road," the company aims to create a unique maritime cultural and artistic journey for global travelers, a company representative said.
Adora Cruises operates two vessels – Adora Magic City, the first China-built large cruise ship, and Adora Mediterranea, serving nearly 550,000 domestic and international passangers.
Adora Flora City is scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2026 and set sail from its home port in Guangzhou.(By Li Yan)
