19 new professions debut in China

(ECNS) -- China unveiled 19 new professions on Wednesday and adjusted information pertaining to 11 existing career paths.

More than half of the 19 occupations are closely related to new quality productive forces with digital and smart features, including the roles of generative AI system operator, intelligent connected vehicle tester, intelligent manufacturing system operations and maintenance administrator and industrial Internet operation and maintenance operators, network anchor and user growth operation managers.

Amid the economic transformation and carbon reduction drive, green professions area big feature, such as hydrogen-based direct reduction iron personnel, storage power station operation and maintenance administrator and electrical management operator.

New recognition of these occupations includes cultural and creative product planners and operators, oral hygiene technicians and ski patrol rescuers, as well as new job types such as elderly bathing assistants and recreational campground stewards, reflecting the new vitality of social development.

The updated dictionary with 28 newly classified types of work is conducive to fostering new employment growth and expanding career paths for job seekers.
