Insights |Malaysian student: China has developed by leaps and bounds under the leadership of the CPC

(ECNS) --The year 2023 marks the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Malaysian student Toh Wei Yuan is quite impressed with how China has developed and progressed by leaps and bounds over the years under the leadership of the CPC. During an interview with ECNS, she shared her observation.

Toh Wei Yuan is currently studying at the Institute of Communication Studies of Communication University of China. Talking about her current life in China, she said she have met a lot of new friends from not only China, but also South Korea, India and so on, which is a good opportunity for her to learn about different cultures of other countries.

She expressed her interest in Chinese history, culture and traditional costumes. She said she was impressed by the Great Wall, the Palace Museum, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Xi'an and other places of interest.

Toh Wei Yuan said that the Chinese society is developing by leaps and bounds and has made achievements in many fields under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

She said that the Chinese government has been promoting poverty alleviation policies, which facilitate the rural economic development, improve the local infrastructure, help a large number of people get rid of poverty, and narrow the overall wealth gap in China. “China has been very successful in revitalizing the countryside, not only promoting economic development in rural areas, but also improving the education and medical conditions in these areas.”

In addition, China pays much attention to innovation and technologies, and has made great achievements in areas including technology, artificial intelligence and digital economy. The e-payment technology now commonly used in China has brought a lot of convenience to the public.

What impresses her most is the development of education in China. She believes that Chinese universities are now becoming more and more international, attracting more and more foreign students. In Toh Wei Yuan's opinion, this is a great opportunity for foreign students, and China provides them with the opportunity to learn and communicate in an open and diversified cultural environment, which can broaden their horizons.
