HK chief executive urges local enterprises to expand business along BRI

(ECNS) -- Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is encouraging local companies to expand business opportunities in countries along China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

During Lee’s visit to the China-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Zone (ICCDZ) in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, he said the zone is a successful example of the two sides’ cooperation on BRI construction, which has shown great cooperative potential.

The operation mode and experience of this zone are of great reference and value to Hong Kong enterprises that want to expand their business in the Middle East, Lee added.

Lee visited Abu Dhabi Ports the same day, and then traveled to Dubai accompanied by over 30 business representatives from Hong Kong.
