With days to go before the United States midterm congressional elections, the partisan contests become fiercer. Among the registered voters polled by Reuters/Ipsos, 43% were concerned about threats of violence or voter intimidation while voting in person. As high as 67% of registered voters said they were concerned extremists will commit acts of violence after the election. Political polarization has made neither of the two parties in the US able to effectively respond to what Americans really care about.
