An exhibition depicting photos of life in Beijing from 1976 to 1979 was held at Beijing Luxun Museum.
The photos on display were taken by 73-year-old Italian journalist Mataro who recorded life in Beijing before China's reform and opening up in 1979.
These photos reflect the real living conditions of Beijingers before the reform. The photos have been highly praised among local people. Many Beijingers said these photos make them reminiscent of their lives in the old city.
The Italian journalist said he hoped the exhibition could help him reunite with some of the people in his photos.
