At the 2nd "Belt and Road" Forum on People-to-People Connectivity, Adil Kaukenov, director of the "Belt and Road" Research and Education Center of Kazakhstan and honorary research fellow at the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shared his firsthand observations of the changes the "Belt and Road Initiative" has brought to trade, education, and beyond to the two countries.
He recalled that he had been the only Kazakh student in Shandong Province back in his student days, but now Kazakh students are found in nearly every province. He added that sinology has become a bridge connecting China and the rest of the world.
