Insights丨Decorated Russian veteran shares stories about covert operation against Japanese suicide attacker during WWII

The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Soviet Union’s Great Patriotic War, and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Viktor Krivashov, a 100-year-old Russian WWII veteran, who had fought in the battles, recently granted an interview, recalling a covert operation and the fierce combat against Japanese invaders.

Krivashov was awarded the 2nd class Order of Patriotic War, as well as medals "For Courage" and "For the Victory over Japan." 

Recalling the moment of victory, he couldn't hide his excitement during the interview.
