The U.S.-China trade conflict has continued to escalate. In a recent interview, Russian sinologist and economist Leonid Kovachich noted that faced with repeated escalations from Washington, China has come to the clear conclusion that unilateral restraint yields no goodwill—adding that the U.S. approach to containing China's development has become increasingly aggressive and uncompromising.

As the situation evolves, Beijing has officially initiated a framework of symmetrical countermeasures.
