Studying TCM is lifelong passion: Russian couple

In 2001, Maria, who was studying Chinese in Beijing, got acquainted with Li Feng, who is also an enthusiast of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

The two who shared a passion for TCM met and got married. The couple then traveled to Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and other countries. They found that TCM is generally recognized by the locals. This made them resolve to gain a systematic knowledge of TCM. 　

During their travels, the couple met many Chinese from whom they learned about TCM. Eventually, they decided to go to Gansu Province, a key birthplace of TCM, to pursue further studies.

Now, Maria and Li Feng are going to receive doctoral degrees in integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine as well as acupuncture and massage from Gansu University of Chinese Medicine. The couple said that they will continue to work in TCM and promote it worldwide.
