Pet lovers turn to acupuncture to treat their furry friends

In recent years, with more and more people keeping pets, the pet medical industry has also ushered in rapid development. In Xi'an, the capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, many pet lovers　take sick pets to receive treatment such as acupuncture and moxibustion. Doctors who use traditional Chinese medicine techniques to treat animals are called Chinese veterinarians. 　

Ma Wuren, an associate professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine of Northwest A&F University, said traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture are used by Chinese veterinarians to treat animals, but acupuncture is difficult to treat pets because animals cannot talk to doctors. 　

Ma Wuren's office has been filled with pet lovers bringing their pets for treatment. Some pet owners said that they originally did not believe in Chinese veterinarians. They were very surprised to see the paralyzed pets gradually improve.
