The Takixken port, a border port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, resumed passenger customs clearance on Monday, welcoming its first inbound tourists of 2023.

Inbound passengers passed through customs checkpoints in order.

Inbound travelers no longer need to apply for a health code. They need a negative nucleic acid test taken within 48 hours prior to departure.

Takixken port is an essential trade port for Xinjiang to export fruits and vegetables to Russia.
