A passenger flight took off Thursday morning in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, flying to Frankfurt in Germany. This marks the resumption of international passenger flights in the city after a 34-month COVID-19 hiatus.
Operated by the German airline Condor, the first flight is a chartered one. One round trip is scheduled between Hefei and Frankfurt every week at a later stage.
More international routes will be gradually resumed in the near future to meet the growing need for international travel, connecting Hefei with Southeast Asia, Japan, the Republic of Korea and so on, according to the international airport in Hefei.
