Rare North China Leopard spotted in north China's Shanxi

(ECNS) -- A wild North China leopard, a national first-class animal in China, has been recorded by an infrared camera installed at a state-owned forest farm in Wutai Mountain, Xinzhou city, north China's Shanxi Province.

It is the first footage of the North China leopard captured in Wutai County this year.

The North China leopard has a tan coat with black and brown spots. In one of the video clips, the wild animal lay prone on the grass, licking its paws while looking toward the camera.
