(ECNS) -- A batch of red wine passed through the customs check post at the comprehensive bonded zone of the Beijing Daxing International Airport on Monday, marking the official operation of the zone.
"Potential advantages of the bonded zone like preferential policies and customs clearance efficiency are the reasons why we carry out customs clearance business here. We may spend over four days on customs clearance of this batch of goods at other checkposts, but we need one day to deal with them here. Such efficiency is very attractive to us," said Yao Zhenhai, General Manager of Chengrong Technology.
"The first batch of commodity cleared is mainly red wine for customers in Beijing and Hebei Province. And there a total of 21 types of goods, including chips, phone screens, and electronic products, with a total value of $13.43 million," said Yin Jiao, Deputy Director of Beijing Customs.
This comprehensive bonded zone is the only one in China stretching over two provincial administrative regions.
It connects with Xiongan New Area, mainly serving Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and radiating to north China.
It is about to focus on the management of international trade and supply chains, aviation industry, medical treatment and health, new generation information technology, emerging industries service, etc., thus promotingthe open flow of trade.
