(ECNS) -- Conversion of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) into a cabin hospital has neared completion after six days' work on Tuesday.
The hospital is divided into six zones equipped with 249 beds for COVID-19 patients.
Chinese medics assisting the Philippines fight against the deadly disease have advised on the hospital set-up and quarantine facilities.
Kenneth Ronquillo, assistant secretary of the Philippines Department of Health, expressed his gratitude to Chinese experts.
The Chinese team arrived in Manila on April 5 and brought with them a planeload of medical supplies.
