Shanghai Disney Resort will hold a variety of activities to celebrate the 90th birthday of Mickey Mouse in November, incorporating unique aspects of the city.
The celebrations will feature themed events, fun photo opportunities, delicious birthday treats, commemorative merchandise and more.
To welcome the 2018 China International Import Expo, Shanghai Disney Resort has also launched exclusive Shanghai-inspired products, including apparel, toys, accessories, home decor, and stationery.
The new “Mickey in Shanghai” collection features some of the city’s most famous landmarks and cultural heritage, including the Oriental Pearl Tower, Yuyuan Garden and local shikumen architecture.
Visitors can also find unique Shanghai elements embedded within the product designs, with inspiration taken from Shanghai staples such as the city’s delicious xiaolongbao, or soup dumplings, and the Shanghai dialect, further enabling visitors to learn about Shanghai and the people who live here.
